Kimberly Hurvitz, MD


Dr. Hurvitz, a distinguished dermatologist, began her journey with an outstanding undergraduate performance at the University of California, San Diego. She earned her medical degree summa cum laude from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Following this, she completed her dermatology residency at the University of Southern California, where she served as chief resident in her final year. Board certified in dermatology since 2002, Dr. Hurvitz specializes in skin cancer screening and detection, offering the most advanced treatments available.

With extensive experience and education in skin cancer and complex skin issues, Dr. Hurvitz is a trusted expert in her field. She also provides the latest aesthetic skin treatments, including dermal fillers, botulinum injections, and laser treatments, ensuring her patients feel at ease with her compassionate approach.

Outside of her practice, Dr. Hurvitz enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her three children and her dogs, Stella and Mulan (standard poodles), and Kona (a mini Aussiedoodle). She stays active in community activities and volunteers for the American Academy of Dermatology and the Skin Cancer Foundation, dedicating her time to underserved patients. Dr. Hurvitz is passionate about educating her patients on the importance of early detection and prevention of skin cancer.


Virginia Silva


Virginia Silva, PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology who will be joining Advanced Dermatology & Aesthetics Center in August, where she will work alongside board-certified dermatologist Dr. Kimberly U. Hurvitz. With a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to patient-centered care, Virginia brings a wealth of experience in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of skin cancer and other dermatologic conditions..

A Santa Barbara native, Virginia is excited to return to her hometown to care for the community that inspired her journey into medicine. Known for her warm, approachable manner and thoughtful communication, she strives to make every patient feel heard, supported, and empowered in their care.

Virginia earned her Master of Medical Science degree from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA, and completed her physician assistant training at the Stanford School of Medicine. Her clinical experience includes working with dermatology patients in Santa Barbara, at the Eisenhower Dermatology and Mohs Center in Rancho Mirage, and most recently at Community Memorial Hospital in Ventura, CA.

Her path to becoming a PA began at the front desk of a medical office, where her curiosity and passion for healthcare quickly grew. While working as a medical assistant in a dermatology practice during college, she was inspired by a physician assistant whose broad expertise and compassionate approach left a lasting impression.

At Advanced Dermatology & Aesthetics Center, Virginia will provide comprehensive dermatologic care, including skin cancer screenings, minor surgical procedures, aesthetics and patient education. She is especially passionate about early detection and long-term management of skin cancer and looks forward to working closely with Dr. Hurvitz to deliver personalized, evidence-based care
